This Privacy Policy explains how LiveSwap (“LiveSwap”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, applications, and real-time face swap services (together, the “Service”).
Because LiveSwap processes facial images and video, which may qualify as biometric or sensitive personal data in some jurisdictions, we treat that data with extra care — as described below.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account data: your name, email address, password hash, and account preferences.
- Billing data: subscription plan, billing history, and limited payment metadata (your full card details are held by our payment processor, not by us).
- Face data:images or short clips you upload to create a face for use with the Service (“Source Faces”), and any reference faces you provide.
- Live video: the webcam feed you stream through the Service, which is processed in real time and transformed into the output video.
- Support & feedback: messages you send us via email or in-app channels.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: minutes consumed, session timestamps, quality tier, device type, browser, operating system, and coarse-grained IP-based location.
- Diagnostics: crash logs, performance metrics, and anonymised error traces used to improve reliability.
- Cookies & similar tech: first-party cookies for login sessions, and privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the Service is used.
2. How we handle face data
Face data is the most sensitive information you share with us, and we handle it accordingly:
- Encrypted at rest. Source Faces are stored on encrypted private storage tied to your account. Only you can see or use them.
- Encrypted in transit. All traffic between your browser and our servers is protected with TLS.
- Processed, not retained. Live webcam video is transformed in memory and streamed back to you. We do not store the raw live video or the transformed output beyond what is required for the session.
- Not used to train general models. We do not use your Source Faces or live video to train generic AI models, and we do not sell face data to anyone.
- Deletable on demand. You can delete any Source Face, or your entire account, at any time from your dashboard. Deletion removes the data from active systems promptly and from backups within our standard backup rotation.
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
- Authenticate your account and prevent abuse or fraud;
- Process payments and manage subscriptions;
- Enforce our Terms of Service and investigate violations (for example, misuse of face-swap technology to impersonate or defraud others);
- Improve performance, reliability, and safety of the Service using aggregated or anonymised metrics;
- Communicate with you about your account, updates, and support;
- Comply with legal obligations and lawful requests.
4. Legal bases (for EEA/UK users)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Contract: to provide the Service you have signed up for.
- Legitimate interests: to secure, improve, and safeguard the Service, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent: where required for processing biometric data (such as your Source Faces) or for non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation: where we are required to retain or disclose information.
5. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in limited circumstances:
- Service providers: vetted vendors that help us run LiveSwap (for example, hosting, storage, payments, email, analytics). They may only process your data under our instructions and under strong confidentiality obligations.
- Legal compliance: when required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of LiveSwap, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: if LiveSwap is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
6. Data retention
- Source Faces: retained until you delete them or delete your account.
- Live video: processed in real time and not stored after the session.
- Account & billing records: retained for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
- Logs & diagnostics: retained for a limited window for security and debugging.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (note: we do not sell personal information).

8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International transfers
LiveSwap operates globally, and your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from, anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by posting the updated Policy and revising the “Last updated” date, or by emailing you).
